25-year-old Ahmaud Arbery was killed on Feb. 23 in Brunswick, Georgia. On Tuesday, video was released of two white men in a pickup truck tracking him down and fatally shooting him while he was jogging and unarmed. No arrests have been made in his death. District attorney Thomas Durden said on Tuesday that he wants a grand jury to decide whether to press charges against the two men. His mother recently gave an interview saying: “I just think about how they could allow these two men to kill my son and not be arrested. That’s what I can’t understand.” A petition and website has been set up RunWithMaud.com calling for justice and accountability. Arbery didn’t do anything wrong. What drew suspicion was that he was a black male running through the white men's neighborhood. No one should feel unsafe while running due to the color of their skin.
