Cheers to one year shooting on the Insomniac media team 🙏 10 years ago EDC was the very first music festival I attended back when it was at the LA Coliseum - cool to see this come full circle. How I got started at Insomniac: a little over a year ago I sent out 100+ emails to different festivals in hopes of working with them. I remember trying to find Insomniac’s email (never did - ended up filling out one of those online contact forms) and thinking “they’re probably the last company to ever read this and get back to me”. I pretty much wrote them off until about three weeks before EDC I received an email saying they liked my portfolio and invited me to join their video team. I’m sharing this story because I used to always think the only way into a position like this was through networking/friends.
