JESSE'S THOUGHTS repost do.asido . . I'll never understand why General Managers will sacrifice talent for fit especially with bigs. The risk ratio for drafting bigs is way too high especially if you've got exceptional talent on the board. This still exists today and I dont know why it continues to occur. Here's some examples of this happening... . . Ayton > Luka & Trae Bender > Hield, Murray, Sabonis Kaminsky > Booker Thabeet > Harden, Curry, DeRozan Oden > Durant (Portland again smh) Darko > Melo, Bosh, D-Wade Olowokandi > Dirk, Carter, Pierce, J-Will, Bibby Camby > Kobe, Nash, Allen, Marbury, Abdur-Rahim Bradley > Penny . . I'm sure I missed a few but I don't know what more to say. Now of course sometimes it pays off to draft for size and it's not that Ayton won't be a good player... but...
