#OTD—December 30—in 1920, Marian Anderson first appeared at Carnegie Hall in a concert by the Martin-Smith Music School. Eight years later to the day, she made her Carnegie Hall recital debut, performing works by Purcell, Scarlatti, Martini, Debussy, Schubert, and more.
