On this day—November 18—in 1892, the NYPhilharmonic made its Carnegie Hall debut! Anton Seidl led the orchestra in works by Wagner, Dvořák, Beethoven, Saint-Saëns, and Tchaikovsky. Since then, the orchestra has performed at the Hall more than 5,000 times.
