As part of #VoicesOfHope, we have collaborated with Keyes Art Projects (keyesartgallery) to highlight the work of five Native American artists who draw from various elements of their rich culture and individual experiences. 👉Swipe to view each image. ⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ 1️⃣ “Walter Bradby” by Ethan Brown: Brown is a self-taught artist who works in a variety of media, including the traditional practice of gourd painting and carving. Brown is the descendant of Walter Bradby, chief of the Pamunkey in the late 1930s and the subject of this painting. ⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ 2️⃣ Jeremy Dennis is a contemporary fine-art photographer and a tribal member of the Shinnecock Indian Nation in Southampton, New York. In his work, he explores indigenous identity and assimilation.
