Former US Poet Laureate Tracy K. Smith spoke with Aaron Siegel, Director of Special Projects for the Weill Music Institute, about her adaptation of Fredrich Schiller’s “Ode to Joy,” which is the centerpiece of Carnegie Hall’s contributions to “All Together: A Global Ode to Joy.” During the event, Smith read from some of her work, talked about her artistic process, discussed decisions she made as a translator, and took questions from members of the WMI community.
