We are thrilled to announce NYO Jazz, a new intensive summer training program for outstanding young American instrumentalists, ages 16-19, to launch next summer. #NYOJazz, an extension of #NYOUSA and #NYO2, will bring together young jazz musicians from across the U.S. to collaborate with their peers and experience in-depth training under the guidance of a world-class faculty, as well as a different celebrated guest artist each year. In its inaugural year, trumpeter, composer, and educator sjonesjazz will direct the big band’s debut performance at #CarnegieHall, followed by a European tour.
