Today we remember the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. He appeared at Carnegie Hall twice, once for a tribute in his honor on January 27, 1961, and a second time for a benefit marking the 100th birthday of W.E.B. DuBois on February 23, 1968. Here he is pictured as keynote speaker at the latter event. #carnegiehall #MLK #MLKDay #CHarchives #CHtreasures 📷: James E. Hinton / Carnegie Hall Archives
