Music Director of thephiladelphiaorchestra, nezetseguin, and pianist Jan Lisiecki congregate backstage before performing together on Thursday, January 14. Nézet-Séguin led The Philadelphia Orchestra in a performance of HK Gruber’s “Charivari” and Johann Strauss Jr.’s "Tales from the Vienna Woods" Waltz, Op. 325, as well as a pair of works by #Beethoven: the Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major, Op. 58 featuring Jan Lisiecki, and the String Quartet in F Minor, Op. 95, "Serioso," arranged by Mahler. The encores included #Schumann’s Träumerei from “Kinderszenen,” Op. 15 and J. Strauss Jr.’s “Perpetuum Mobile,” Op. 257.
