Misc. Goods Co. founder and designer tyler_g_deeb spent his early career as a free- lance graphic designer until circumstances forced him to venture into a new direction. During a particulary slow season as a free-lancer, with a wife and kids at home, Tyler needed to find a new way to earn money from his design skills. He began re-drawing a deck of playing cards top to bottom. Every character, symbol and design unique. After months of work, he (along with the help of his officemates) launched a Kickstarter campaign to manufacture the playing cards he had illustrated. The project was quickly funded.
