#fridayfact is dedicated to Olympic history.
Since 1912, there have been three Olympic Games hosted on U.S. soil (1932, 1984, and 1996) – and all three times U.S. Eventing has taken home both a team medal and an individual medal.
🥇🥈The 1932 Los Angeles Olympic Games, U.S. Eventing won team gold and the individual silver medal.
🥇🥈The 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games, U.S. Eventing repeated history and won team gold and the individual silver medal.
🥈🥉The 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games (the last Olympics to be held on U.S. soil) U.S. Eventing earned team silver and the individual bronze medal. This was also the first Olympics with a new format of separate team and individual competitions.
