I am proud to share with you the launch of startswithus, a civic movement to build resilient societies through our daily habits. Alongside over 100 foremost leaders committed to reshaping how we think, relate, and work together across divides, I invite you to help us build this movement powered by individual actions. For me, a proud American citizen who emigrated from Mexico (a country with fewer freedoms and weak rule of law), the son of a Holocaust survivor, and someone who spent over thirty years trying to advance conflict resolution in the Middle East, Starts With Us is a way to reverse the harmful habits of inflexible thinking, unforgiving judgmentalism, and fear of each other that are leading us down a dangerous path. Starts With Us is doing this by creating the tools and exercises to help every one of us to collaborate with courage, relate with empathy, and approach the world with more curiosity.
