Teams at Michoud Assembly Facility have fully integrated all five major components of the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket's core stage as we progress toward
#Artemis II.
Technicians will soon integrate the four RS-25 engines into the rocket's engine section, where housing cabling, sensors, and other sensitive equipment are located. When incorporated, the RS-25 engines and two solid rocket boosters that sit astride the SLS will create 8.8 million pounds (3.9 million kg) of thrust, which will help send our astronauts on their journey around the Moon and back.
