#Artemis missions. Teams at NASAKennedy are assembling components for Artemis II which will send astronauts around the Moon for the first time since Apollo. Eventually, the assembly will make its way to this room within the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB), the last place the new Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and Orion Spacecraft will visit before launch, slated for 2024.
Artemis III and IV are also underway, with manufacturing underway at NASA_Marshall, NASAStennis, and NASA’s Michoud Assembly Facility, which send elements of the SLS and Orion to Kennedy.
