Catch a glimpse of the Hunter’s Moon.
The name Hunter’s Moon first appeared in the Oxford English Dictionary in 1710. According to the Farmer’s Almanac, Hunter's Moon is named as such because this full Moon follows the Harvest Moon when farmers clear their fields, giving hunters a better view of animals on their lands.
The name is especially fitting as we prepare to return to the Moon under
#Artemis, named for the ancient Greek goddess of the hunt and the twin sister of Apollo.
