Can you spot the Canadarm? 🤔 The Gateway will be a small, human-tended space station orbiting the Moon that will provide extensive capabilities to support #Artemis missions. Built with international and commercial partnerships, Gateway’s capabilities for supporting sustained exploration in deep space include docking ports for a variety of visiting spacecraft, space for crew to live and work, and on-board science investigations. In this video, we see an animation of the exterior of the Gateway. Can you catch which part is the Canadarm3, a smart robotic system with a large, 8.5-metre-long arm, a smaller, more dexterous arm, and a set of detachable tools? Canada is contributing this next-generation robotic system which will accomplish several tasks such as capturing visiting vehicles, relocating Gateway modules, and helping astronauts during spacewalks.
