#TBT A crawler-eye view 👁️ NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and Orion spacecraft, standing atop the mobile launcher, arrived at Launch Pad 39B at NASAKennedy Space Center on March 18, 2022. In view is the crawler-transporter 2, which carried the #Artemis I stack from the Vehicle Assembly Building to the pad – a 4.2-mile (~6.8 km) journey that took nearly 11 hours to complete. Teams are preparing for the next attempt of the Artemis I wet dress rehearsal, pending range availability and restoration of propellants and gases during the test. Through the past two test runs that ended April 3 and 4, engineers accomplished several test objectives, including: verifying the Orion spacecraft countdown by NASAJohnson Space Center flight controllers, draining the liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen after the test, and powering down the rocket, the spacecraft, and ground systems.
