You won’t find penguins at this South Pole 🐧 This visualization compresses three months (a little over three lunar days into two minutes), and shows the unusual motions of the Earth and Sun as viewed from the South Pole of the Moon. The virtual camera is on the rim of the Shackleton Crater—a potential #Artemis lunar landing location. At the Moon’s South Pole, the Sun glides around the horizon, never more than 1.5 degrees above or below it.
