Researchers at NASA's Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia (nasa_langley) work to make revolutionary improvements to aviation, expand understanding of Earth’s atmosphere, and develop technology for space exploration. In the Apollo days, their charter was to study the ability of astronauts to walk, run, and perform other tasks required during lunar exploration. The Reduced Gravity Simulator gave researchers the opportunity to look at the affects of one-sixth normal gravity on self-locomotion.
