NASA’s new rocket, the Space Launch System, will be the most powerful rocket ever built for deep-space missions. The 212-foot core stage is the largest rocket stage ever built and will fuel four RS-25 engines that will help launch SLS. This animation depicts the parts that make up the core stage and how these parts will be joined to form the entire stage.
