From the time is was designed and built for the Constellation program, to where our Ground Systems program is today, preparing it launch the most powerful rocket ever built, the Mobile Launcher has gone through quite a transformation. Just north of the Vehicle Assembly Building at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, the core stage forward skirt umbilical is installed on the mobile launcher. The mobile launcher is designed to support the assembly, testing and check-out of the agency's Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and the Orion spacecraft.
