Let’s kick off the weekend swimming inside a creative mind from the Mars generation. This beautiful drawing, titled “Found Life”, was created for the Humans in Space Youth Art Competition in 2012 by Himaprabal Goud, 15 years old, from India. The topic of the challenge: ‘how will humans use science and technology to explore space, and what mysteries will it uncover?’ For the foreseeable future, we’re going to add two pieces of Humans In Space Art artwork per week to the exploreNASA lineup. The creators of these works could become future explorers and we want to support and encourage them. We can learn a lot from them too—imagination is an incredible resource necessary for extending humanity into space. Without it, space missions of any scale could never take flight.
