There are (so far) 1,800 known planets beyond our solar system, but among all of them, there's no place like Earth. This Earth Day, Wednesday April 22, NASA is asking you to share pictures and video of your favorite places on Earth using social media – and tag them #NoPlaceLikeHome. In that spirit, a gorgeous shot of Earth – Florida and the Bahamas – from the International Space Station (iss). Eye your way up the east coast of the state of Florida, and you can almost make out NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, where Orion and Space Launch System will launch from a modernized Kennedy spaceport in just a few short years – making it one of our favorite places on our home planet.
