This illustrated artist concept of Skylab penned in 1972 shows the Apollo capsule, which was launched on a Saturn 1B rocket to ferry crews into space, docked to the multiple docking adapter. It was designed and built at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, where NASA’s Space Launch System program office is located. This throwback is a nod to both past work and future progress made by NASA teams and industry partners across America. Can’t wait to watch that spectacular rocket get fired up with the Orion spacecraft positioned atop of it, launching from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida.
