Yesterday we posted comparison images of early and current construction of the Vertical Assembly Building (VAB) at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida. It’s really an amazing building — the appearance of the exterior from almost any angle or distance is incredibly pristine. On the inside, however, is a building site undergoing major transformation as teams of engineers, mechanics and builders work to refurbish the facility. Pictured here, shuttle era platforms are being removed to make way for new advanced platforms to build NASA’s Space Launch System rocket and the Orion crew capsule. Just another day at work ... building a house for rockets and spacecrafts! And don’t forget to find the Ground Systems team at NASA's Kennedy Space Center on Twitter to follow their amazing progress modernizing Kennedy into a multi-user spaceport. twitter.com/NASA_go4launch Learn more about Ground Systems Development at NASA Kennedy: go.nasa.gov/1uyt9Fc #NASA #progres...
