#ThrowbackThursday to January 1965 (top) when the Vehicle Assembly Building, or VAB, at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida was still under construction – and 50 years later, an image showing the national landmark as seen from across the turn basin standing strong and long complete. The VAB is a central element of NASA’s plans to launch people, science and equipment on exploration missions into deep space.
