YALL. STATE WAS AMAZING🥉🏅

Yes, that's a bronze medal around my neck. And I'm so proud of it. Funny thing was, when I got home, I had several people apologize to ME because I didn't win.

Last year my DREAM was to break 5:00. On Saturday night, I stepped into the biggest stage I've ever had the opportunity to race on (still salty about state cross country...🧂), and PRd in both races with a bronze medal in the two mile (10:28) and 4th place in the mile (4:50). Of course I wanted to win, but when you get to race against elite competition, it's extremely important to remember to step back and be proud of where you've come from and who and where you are TODAY, while always chasing to be better by tomorrow.

Remember, life is all about perspective. SO thankful for my amazing family, team, coach, and friends for supporting my dream. Special shoutout to juliacolemusic who FLEW IN from Nashville to watch me race😭❤️
