This is my FUCK CANCER Triathalon I am less than 3 months out from finishing chemo. It’s crazy to think about where I was and how I felt three months ago. I was in no place to be signing up for a Triathalon, something I’ve never done before, especially so soon after chemo but you know what: FUCK CANCER. I put in the work. I dealt with the side effects. I have scars and some lingering side effects but above all I’M STILL HERE. I call this my F CANCER Triathalon because those two words were my mantra throughout the race; thinking about what I went through helped me to not only push past discomfort but to try even harder when I felt like slowing down. I also still think about those that are still fighting, those who know someone fighting, those who are not with us anymore, and the families that deal with the ugliness that comes from cancer and I push forward for them.
