Amzie Adams is a recognizable character who is often spotted strolling around the French Quarter, Marigny and Bywater neighborhoods in a top hat and round sunglasses. The ex-Marine grew up in Wayne, N.J., and found himself in New Orleans in the late 1960s. Adams is an established painter and musician in New Orleans with endless stories.
