In order to reduce the fear of failure, which most of us have, we need to reverse-engineer the outcomes and what drives us. - For me it is the GRATITUDE for what I have: win, lose or draw. - Here is a clip from my talk with the great edmylett on the uncertainty of a mixed martial arts career. - I’m reading “Greenlights” by officiallymcconaughey and he talks about catching “greenlights” in our life by defining them and also acknowledging what the “yellow lights” and “red lights” are in our lives. - The biggest takeaway so far is that one of the “greenlights” in life is realizing that everything won’t go as planned, but that outcomes, good or bad, are part of the plan, a part of the process. - Getting caught up in the perceived finality and self-proclaimed failures will always be a detriment to your ability to pivot, persist and persevere. - Stay the course. “Take the hill” by doing what is HARD and what you NEED to do instead of what you WANT to do, especially in the face of adversity. ...
