I’ve been on this journey with henrihooft for a while now and he always preaches the importance of keeping it simple.

As athletes we tend to over think, over conceptualize and over analyze. While I think it’s very important to grow as a fighter, we must also focus on the idea of not widening our range of techniques too far from what will make us successful.

I know for me, simple techniques, simple combinations and simple ideas work well.

I say this because lately, as seen in my last K.O. in August, switching to southpaw has been something we have been working on.

But even when we switch, we still keep the combinations extremely simple. After all, there are only so many places you can hit an opponent that are effective.

Here we throw an orthodox 1-2-roll and switch to southpaw and throw a hook up top and a hook to the body.
