𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑 𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐄/𝐒𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐀𝐑-𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐘𝐄𝐀𝐑 • Congrats to LoyolaSwim’s very own Rex Maurer ’23, who was awarded both of Loyola Athletics’ highest honors as the top athlete AND scholar-athlete from the Class of 2023! Maurer just completed one of the most dominant HS swimming careers in CIF and CA State history. In just three years of competition, Maurer captured 11 CIF championships, 6 state titles, and set numerous school, CIF Division I, and CA State records. He also holds the national record in the 500 Freestyle event. The Stanford signee and arguably the nation’s top-ranked recruit also finished in the Top 10 of his class at Loyola and is set to compete for the Cardinal in the fall.
