I made this video six months out before the Olympic Games. . I was a month away from leaving to be with teamcanada for months and months without coming home. . This was such a real grind for me. I have always obsessed over the work that goes into being great at sports. . This journey taught me so much more. Trying to balance being elite at my position, a mom, a wife, a friend, an employee and so much more was the tricky part. . I say this time and time info … No one’s gonna understand YOUR WHY at times… . No one’s gonna understand why you push yourself the way you do . . I mean, I had people hoping the Olympics were going to be canceled that I thought were in my corner … so it goes to show not everyone’s going to understand your dreams… and that is 100000% OKAY! . Because they haven’t walked in your shoes nor have they been willing to put in the work to do what you do. . Be selfish with your work… be selfish with your time… and most importantly keep that circle small. . . . . ....
