I wish I would have leaned on this advice earlier in my career. It’s so dam easy to compare yourself to everyone in this sport day in and day out. The pressure that this game provides is A TON, if you let it be a TON.

I remember back in the day constantly comparing myself to other pitchers, am I as fast as her? Does she throw her change up better? Are schools looking at her before me? Why is she getting more playing time then me? Why am I not as good as her? The list goes ON.

A competitive edge in this game is important, and something you should remember, “Someone is always better then you are”… and “ Someone is trying to take what you want, so WORK HARDER.”
