I’ve had so much joy these last couple months post Olympics watching Madison play baseball and soccer. . I was scared I was going to get really depressed after the Olympics and I didn’t know how I was going to feel. I felt so incredibly lucky to have this family of mine & the support from my friends. . Watching Madison compete has been a highlight for me. Her ability to understand moments… be extremely competitive and want to win more than I’ve ever seen brings the biggest smile to my face. . Sports isn’t always about winning. I think there’s something to be said about teaching children the importance of it. We’re not in it for participation trophies. We’re in it for the grind in the work and the work is rewarded at times by winning. . These last Olympics taught me that you can do everything in your power to prepare to win but it’s not always going to happen.
