After a tough 6.5 months and rest from pitching throughout the pandemic, I wasn’t 100% convinced I wanted to get back into. Watching & getting the opportunity to call auprosoftball made me fall back in love with the sport. Seeing my teammates grind in that league, and others I’ve always admired made me realize I have it in me to work my tail off ONE MORE TIME. The fall of 2020 was almost 2.5 months straight of 2-3X a week throwing into a net. You want to talk about being humbled in the game, the fall of 2020 was that for me. It made me dig deep to plan my pens, get better in my pens, and push through the negative self talk of “why are you throwing your 20th bullpen into a net again.” We are constantly humbled in this game, even when your on your way out the door. Humbled = GRATEFUL for all opportunities in this game. LOVE it. RESPECT it.
