The differences between generations are often reduced to overly broad stereotypes, but data does show that the younger generation really is spending more on travel: In a new survey, 78% of Gen Z respondents say they intend to take a vacation in the next 12 months, and nearly one in five say they’ll spend at least 40% of their disposable income on trips. How much is that? The survey indicates that most Gen Z travelers are spending between $500 and $2,000 per trip—which means spending between $1,000 and $4,000 on travel this year.
