Congratulations to @alekna.m of Lithuania, who became the new world record holder in the discus with a throw of 243-11 (74.35m) at the Oklahoma Throws Series World Invitational in Ramona, Oklahoma Sunday (14 April). Alekna extinguished the oldest men’s track & field world record of 243-0 (74.08m) set by Jurgen Schult of East Germany in 1986. Mykolas, who won the @pac12conference title last year for @caltfxc is a 2-time @worldathletics medalist, earning medals in Eugene and Budapest.
