All of the young boys said they wanted to play in college one day, so I said "Okay, I'm going to show you what it's like to go on a road trip." 1) 5 playbook study sessions on the ride up to Pittsburgh. 2) Offensive meetings once we got to the hotel. 3) 7:30am wake up call for a 12:00pm game. 4) 8:00am breakfast for a 12:00pm game. 5) I found a sports complex the night before for a 9:30am "walkthrough" 6) More meetings on the bus ride to the stadium. We didn't get the wins we wanted, but the youngsters put up WAY more points than last year, got respect from some of the top 7 on 7 organizations in the country, and now, they understand what it takes to get to the next level. Last night in the hotel, I heard that the kids were discussing amongst themselves that "We need to practice harder, and with more intensity."..."Now I KNOW that we can play with anybody our age if we execute."
