Trotting into Para Equestrian week! 🐴 Para Equestrian debuted at the Atlanta 1996 Paralympic Games. Riders from 16 countries competed in 9 events, at that time with borrowed horses. At the Paralympics, athletes compete in three events in Para Dressage. The individual championship, team championship and individual freestyle championship. Great Britain equestrianukteamuk remains the most successful country in the sport with 34 gold, 20 silver and 10 bronze medals. At paris2024 there will be 11 medal events across the individual, team and individual freestyle championships. Riders and their horses will compete at the famous UNESCO world heritage site chateauversailles - a historic symbol of French royalty.
