🪖 From their send-off from Coach Caddy '14 and auburnu First Lady and usaf veteran Tracy Roberts, who carried the game ball, the wardamnveterans and the universityofalabama Crimson Legion members participating in the 2022 Operation Iron Ruck have arrived safely in Tuscaloosa. The group left from Jordan-Hare Stadium Wednesday morning and completed the 151-mile trek to Tuscaloosa this afternoon. They will deliver the game ball to Bryant-Denny Stadium tomorrow just prior to kickoff. Operation Iron Ruck was established to bring awareness to the average 22 United States veterans who commit suicide every day. Each marcher carried 22 blank dog tags and wore 22-pound rucksacks filled with donated items that the students will deliver to charities that assist Alabama’s veteran population. This year’s Iron Ruck hit especially close to home for both schools. Since the march last year, Auburn lost Navy veteran Josh Marshall to suicide and Alabama lost Marine Corps veteran Hunter Whitley. ...
