𝗘𝗧 𝓛𝔂𝓷𝓷 𝓔𝓭𝔀𝓪𝓻𝓭𝓼 𝓐𝓷𝓰𝓮𝓵𝓵 '71 August 11, 1949 - September 11, 2001 Lynn Edwards Angell ’71 and her husband, David, were killed on September 11, 2001 when the flight they were on, American Airlines AA11 crashed into the North Tower at 9:46:40 ET. The couple had just celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary on August 14, 2001 and were preparing to move to Chatham, Mass. They were returning to Hollywood to attend the 53rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, for which one of David’s shows, Frasier, had been nominated in the Outstanding Comedy Series category. Lynn graduated from Auburn in 1971 with a degree in elementary education and pursued a career as a librarian. She was the daughter of the late Marylin and Thomas Edwards Jr. ‘39 of Birmingham (her mother was still living in 2001).
