Lynn Edwards Angell โ71 and her husband, David, were killed on September 11, 2001 when the flight they were on, American Airlines AA11 crashed into the North Tower at 9:46:40 ET.
The couple had just celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary on August 14, 2001 and were preparing to move to Chatham, Mass. They were returning to Hollywood to attend the 53rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, for which one of Davidโs shows, Frasier, had been nominated in the Outstanding Comedy Series category.
Lynn graduated from Auburn in 1971 with a degree in elementary education and pursued a career as a librarian. She was the daughter of the late Marylin and Thomas Edwards Jr. โ39 of Birmingham (her mother was still living in 2001). She is survived by her brother, Dr. Thomas Edwards III โ68, and his wife, Rennie, of Eastpoint, Fla., niece, Leslie Edwards Higgins and nephew Christopher Edwards.
