Student-veterans from Auburn and Alabama stepped off from Bryant Denny Stadium this morning as they began their march to deliver the game ball to Jordan Hare Stadium for the 2019 Iron Bowl. 🏈 Operation Iron Ruck teams the student veterans organizations from Auburn and Alabama to walk the 150+ miles between Bryant Denny in Tuscaloosa to Jordan Hare in Auburn during Iron Bowl week. Each participant is carrying a 22 lb. ruck sack, representing the 22 veterans and active military members who take their lives each day. At the end of the march, the items in the ruck sacks will be donated to the Alabama State Veterans homes and 3 Hots and a Cot.
