Fact: nearly HALF of Americans don't properly recycle their personal care products. Like so many of us, our team member Juliet LOVED free samples, and over time collected more tiny mascaras and perfume samples than anybody could need. That's why for this week's #ChoicesMakeChanges challenge, she looked into her bathroom cabinets (yikes!) to use up and collect what she already had before transitioning to plastic-free alternatives. - By researching what could be recycled in her own bin and what needed to be sent to specialty recycling centers like TerraCycle, she reduced the amount of clutter in her life, and made space for awesome low impact alternatives.
