As a translator for the United States Armed Forces in Afghanistan, Lahibullah Adina's job put his family's everyday safety at risk. "There were a whole series of dangers making life not only difficult but impossible," Lahibullah said. Lahibullah gained refugee status and received a special immigrant visa for Afghan interpreters. But after immigrating to America, Lahibullah and his family found the job search process very different than in Afghanistan.
