After life in Ukraine grew too dangerous, Diana immigrated to America. "Even walking down the street was scary and dangerous. We could hear bombs going off on a regular basis," Diana said. "There was so much violence and corruption, the economy was horrible. It felt impossible to build a life there. It became unbearable." After immigrating to Colorado, Diana enrolled in our English classes to improve her language skills. "From the beginning, the staff, my teachers, and my classmates made me feel so welcome," Diana said. Diana also enrolled in our free vocational transitions program for immigrants and refugees to fast track her way into our Barbering program.
