Big congrats to graduate Domcutit who came all the way from Rapid City to study in our barbering program and is now opening his own barbershop back home! Beyond the immediate goals of making a go of his barbershop, and expanding into a neighborhood hangout, Clucas wouldn’t mind starting up something Rapid City needs: “There’s no barber schools in South Dakota. So, getting licensed to use a straight razor, you can’t do that here." Dom said. “Someday I wanna open up a school, I think that would be awesome. Barbering is evolving, if you think about it, everyone needs a barber.” Dom says of barbering, “It’s a constant learning experience. The classes I went to in Denver were really cool, like top barbers would come in and explain stuff, like how to cut better with shears.
