Four-star quarterback Jaden Rashada chose Miami over Florida. Now UF fans are letting their anger be known. And the target of their ire might be foreign to those used to blaming everything on the coach or athletic director. The Gator Collective is a boosters fund for name, image and license payments to players. It is loosely linked to UF sports administrators and coaches but operates on its own terms, like similar booster collectives across the NCAA. The group was founded by Florida grads, including baseball alum Eddie Rojas, who serves as CEO. The Collective says they are playing by the rules, but Rashada's attorney and agent last week said they are dysfunctional. And in the big-money game of the NIL era, fans worry that could cost the Gators down the road.
