This Gator is grand! With a victory Sunday over LSU, Florida Gators softball coach Tim Walton picked up the 1⃣,0⃣0⃣0⃣th win of his storied career. Walton has 877 wins over 17 years with gatorssb, including back-to-back national championships in 2014 and 2015. Before coming to Gainesville, he went 123-64 in three seasons leading Wichita State. He reached the milestone faster than all but one coach: the legendary Mike Candrea of Arizona. Walton goes for win 1,001 when his Gators take on Mercer, coached by his former player Lindsay Fico.
